Hungrytown Concert at Main Library
Sunday, January 18th, 2015: 2:00pm

Prepare for a treat to welcome the New Year on Sunday, January 18, 2015. Hungrytown is the dynamic duo of singers and multi-instrumentalists Rebecca Hall and Ken Anderson. Modern representatives of folk music from the 60s, they create new, original, simple masterpieces. Hall & Anderson’s tranquil melodies & beguiling delivery charm from the get-go. The duo display confidence, creativity and originality through pure acoustic Americana folk songs leading to success for their recent albums.

Rebecca’s voice has sweetness and worldly wisdom with haunting, pleasant melodies. Her style is smooth, emotionally presenting the songs she writes with grace and beauty. The duo of Rebecca Hall and Ken Anderson add a deliciously off-kilter psychedelic folk edge to Hall’s original lyrics.

Hungrytown make folk music of astonishing delicacy and purity. Rebecca is the nightingale, singing with a voice of captivating delight; Ken's arrangements are a lacework of branches flowing off the trees.

A blend of the old and new, the two make music magical, sounding traditional, yet modern. Don't miss it!

Children are asked to continue the story in one or two paragraphs, take a photo or draw a picture of their character and return their addition to the book, as well as the rest of the packet to the Brackett Library within one week.
