Easter Programs at the
IRC Libraries

Brackett Library

All easter programs will feature spring themed stories, songs, crafts, a parade and a visit by the Easter Bunny. Children should come dressed in their Easter Best.

Registration is not required. These programs are intended for 2 to 6 year olds.

Showbirdz Parrot Show @ North IRC Library

Check out the Showbirdz Parrot show featuring roller skating, basketball playing, flying, bike riding cockatoos!

Minecraft Club

IRC Main Library & North IRC Library

Mondays: 4:00pm - 5:00pm

Share and strategize with other enthusiasts of Minecraft, ages 8 to 12. Participants will be playing on a separate Club-Only server simultaneously at both libraries.

Spanish for Pre-Schoolers

Brackett Library

Mondays 11:00am - 11:45am : 3 to 5 year olds

Three to five year olds are invited to join Ms. Mariela as she teaches basic Spanish words and phrases.

This will be a multi-media class involving videos, songs, rhymes, art and more.

Registration is not required.

Story Times

IRC Main Library

Tuesdays 10:00am - 2 to 5 year olds

North IRC Library

Mondays 10:00am - 18 months to 3 years old

Tuesdays 10:00am - Baby story time (birth to 18 months)

Tuesdays 11:00am - Pre-school (3 to 5 year olds)

Brackett Library

Fridays 10:00am - 2 to 5 year olds

Story Times at the branches of the IRC Library System feature storytelling, creative dramatics, fingerplays, rhymes, song, dance and a simple craft.

Registration is not required.

For ages 5 through 11. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes, sneakers, and bring a bottle of water.


3 - 6 year olds

A fun and educational health and fitness program for 3 to 6 year olds. Parents and older siblings may join in the fun. Registration is not required. Children must wear comfortable clothes and sneakers and bring a bottle of water.

Lego Club

1st - 5th graders

This is an informal build time for Lego enthusiasts in first through fifth grade. Legos are provided. They must not bring any from home.

Craft Hour (Gifford Library)

Gifford Library

Tuesdays: 4:00pm-5:00pm

Did you know the Gifford Youth Library, a small branch within the Gifford Youth Activity Center and right next to the Gifford Aquatic Center, is open Monday through Friday 1:00pm to 5:00pm?

Get rained out? Stop in and ask the librarian on duty for a rainy day craft. Rain not required

Crafts are available for kindergarten through 5th graders any time during open hours.


Baby Sign Language

The Sign Language classes are informal, fun and educational experiences for birth to two year olds and their families.

The programs focus primarily on rhymes and songs and learning of common sign language words and phrases.

Registration is not required for these programs.
